Applications are invited for the following Posts in BARC, Mysore.
Name of the Post : SCIENTIFIC ASSISTANT/B (CIVIL)
Number of posts: : 02 - RESERVED FOR ST (BACKLOG)
Qualification: : Diploma /Licentiate in Civil Engineering (03 years
after SSC or 2 years after HSC/B.Sc.) with
minimum 60% marks in Diploma.
Age : Minimum 18 years but not more than 35 years as on 15.10.2012.
Selection Procedure: Selection will be on the basis of performance in the
interview.
Nature of duties: Supervision of civil maintenance activities for Civil & Public
Health construction work at site as per technical specifications of contract,
Planning & Execution of Civil & Public Health maintenance works.
Supervision and documentary work related with works contract.
The Scale of pay and the Total Emoluments at the minimum of the scale are

In addition to the normal pay and allowances viz., House Rent Allowance,
Transport Allowance etc., as admissible under the Rules. The Department of
Atomic Energy employees are entitled to attractive financial benefits under
various incentive schemes. These benefits are provided in view of special S&T
status of Department and reviewed by the Government from time to time.
NOTE:
1) This Research Centre reserve the right to restrict the number of
candidates to be called for Interview depending upon the number of
applications received. In case the response is more, the screening
will be restricted to those with higher percentage of marks. The
decision of the Research Centre will be final and binding.
2) The vacancies shown above are provisional and subject to the
approval of Competent Authority and may not be filled up if decided
otherwise in terms of the orders issued from Government from time
to time. This Research Centre reserve the rights to fill up all the
posts or alter the number of posts or even cancel the whole process
for recruitment without assigning any reasons.
3) The nature of duties to be performed by all the Categories involves
working in round the clock shift duties, in operational plants and
other areas.
4) Candidates selected against this advertisement are likely to be
posted at Mysore but are liable to serve in any part of India and in
any constituent units of the Department of Atomic Energy.
5) Persons working under the Central/State Govt./Public Sector
Undertakings should submit their applications through proper
channel. They may, however, send one advance copy of the
application along with enclosures as detailed above to the address
given below.
6) Candidates who will be appointed against this advertisement will be
governed by the New Contributory Pension Scheme, which has come
in to effect from 01.01.2004.
7) Candidate shall furnish certificates showing the category of the
candidates i.e. ST category as required for employment under central
government in the prescribed format which is appended to the
advertisement.
Traveling Allowance:
Candidates called for interview will be paid Traveling Allowance as per
rules. However, Traveling Allowance is not admissible to those candidates
who are already in Central/State Government services, Central/State
Government Corporation, Public Undertakings, Local Government
Institutions and Panchayats.
Reimbursement in the above cases will be restricted to the fare in respect of
balance distance exceeding 30 Kms, both ways subject to production of
ticket/tickets. If concessional Rail/Bus tickets are available, the
reimbursement will be limited to Concessional return fare only.

paper. (Size 34 cms x 22 cms).
3. The Application and the outer cover should be superscribed as

4. Candidates must fill the application forms in CAPITAL LETTERS in

Revenue Officers not below the rank of Tehsildar.
